Keen and Werner win Mid-Ohio for Farnbacher Loles!

It was a rough start and a dramatic finish, but the Farnbacher Loles Racing team notched another victory while Leh Keen and Dirk Werner extended their Grand-Am Rolex points lead in the EMCO Gears Classic at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Farnbacher Loles Racing Super Sunday results– 2 podiums, 1 day

Leh Keen and Eric Lux used their strong qualifying positions to good advantage as they ran in the in the top four throughout the opening 45 minutes of the Verizon Festival of Speed at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Keen had a fantastic battle with pole sitter Nick Ham as Keenís Porsche 911 GT3 Cup traded the lead with Hamís Mazda. Lux was putting the pressure on in his fight with Bryce Millerí Mazda for third. The two Farnbacher Loles cars were the only Porsches in the top eight at that point.

Meanwhile in Utah, starting from the third spot on the grid, Marc Lieb jumped into second in the early running of the Larry H. Miller Dealerships UTAH GRAND PRIX outside of Salt Lake City. Lieb comfortably held the position through his driving stint, turning consistent laps in the drama free race, until handing over the cockpit to his co-driver and defending race winner Wolf Henzler with just over 90 minutes to go. ...read more

Farnbacher Loles takes 1st win and 3rd at Thunderbolt Raceway!

Starting from the fifth and seventh spots on the grid, the Farnbacher Loles Racing Team was looking to improve on those positions for round three of the Grand-Am Rolex Series at Thunderbolt Raceway in Millville, NJ. The race started in very wet conditions as rain fell throughout the morning and was coming down heavily at the start. The rain had an immediate impact as two DP competitors came together at the start bringing out a full course caution.

While some GT Class cars chose to make a pit stop during the 12-minute caution period, both Farnbacher Loles cars stayed out, moving them to the front of the GT field and in front of a number of DP cars as well. ...read more


Farnbacher Loles supported by Porsche Motorsport for 2009 ALMS GT2 effort

image Farnbacher Loles Racing will continue its strong association with Porsche in 2009. Farnbacher Loles will be supported by Porsche Motorsport in the American Le Mans Series GT2 class, with Porsche factory driver Wolf Henzler of Nürtingen, Germany, sharing a new Porsche 911 GT3 RSR with Dirk Werner of Kissenbrück, Germany.
 
Henzler is the 2008 ALMS GT2 co-champion. Werner finished a close second in the 2008 Porsche Cup rankings, based on his race results in both Europe and North America. The team, based in Braselton, Ga., enjoyed a class win, two pole positions and four podiums in its rookie ALMS season this year. ...read more

Charity fields Porsche GT3 Cup to help kids.

image The Children's Tumor Foundation and Farnbacher Loles Racing have joined forces to develop a powerful fundraising initiative. Built around the greatest endurance race in North America, The Rolex 24 at Daytona, Racing4Research raises money year-round to benefit medical research through corporate sponsorship and individual pledges, both per lap and a fixed amoiunt. With more than just winning in mind, the CTF Farnbacher Loles Porsche race team will drive for 24 hours and over 600 laps, to help raise awareness and find a cure for neurofibromatosis (NF).
